Tomorrow, Friday March 18th there will be daytime maintenance performed on the phone system.
The temporary daytime interruption is necessary to ensure the system is functioning properly immediately after the major upgrade, which isn't possible when such updates are performed after hours.
During the upgrade, incoming and outgoing calls will be inaccessible for both users on campus and working remotely using the app.
While the actual downtime is expected to be short, please anticipate about 1 hour of interruptions.
Those of you with wired connections through your desk phone may experience temporary internet interruptions, as the desk phones will be updated also - during the phone system upgrade.
If your wired connection (from the desk phone) experiences an outage, unplug the wire and use wifi, until the phone has completed rebooting.
Users with wired connections directly to a wall port (or on wifi) should not experience such interruptions.
The upgrade will begin 12pm Friday.
