If you see the following message:
on your Mac

On your Windows

This is due to you printing a document in grey scale to a color printer. While you may not have set your document to grey scale intentionally, this is a common issue that can occur when printing from a Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint or Word for the first time. ONLY documents that are in color mode can be sent to the color printer. To resolve this issue do the following instructions.
NOTE: if you are printing from Excel, Powerpoint or Word simply send the document again and it should reset to Auto Color. If that does not work follow the instructions below.
-
Go to File > Print

2. On a Mac Select Copies & Pages to bring up the pull down menu. Windows select Printer Properties.

3. On a Mac select Quality. On Windows click on Gray Scale under Select Color.

4. On a Mac select Grey Scale and change to Auto Color or Full Color and then hit Print. On Windows select Auto Color or Full Color then hit Ok. Then hit Print.

NOTE: USING 100% CMYK Colors in your document
If you are using pure 100% CMYK Colors or swatches in your document (PDF, word, Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign) that have ONLY 100% values like this

the document will be denied. The likely cause is that the printer is interpreting the values of the document based on 100% values only. (I.E. anything that has purely 100% values with no other percentages must be black and white according the printer).
If however there is a different value to any one color used in the document like seen here
