In case you run into the issue of the Wacom tablet not showing up in the system preferences, or if there are missing items in the Wacom Tablet control panel, such as the pen, follow these steps to clear the preferences:
1. Open Finder and open the student's home folder.
2. Open the folder Library
3. Open the folder Preferences
4. Move anything with "Wacom" or "Cintiq Pen" in the title with ".prefs" at the end to the trash
5. Empty the Trash folder
6. Restart the computer
