Global email contacts dont load when a new message is created and you start typing a name in. However going to the address book and searching works.
This is probably a speed issue. Does the lack of GAL-auto-completion happen just after you login? Normally, it takes a while for Zimbra to build the GAL for a newly logged-in user, and with the server issues we've been having, that "while" may occasionally be fairly long.
