This Friday at 4:00PM we will experience an entire network shutdown while we upgrade the primary core switch. This device is literally the heart of MIAD's data & voice network.
During the time we are swapping the new unit for the old there will be a complete data and voice outage. *ALL* data and voice services will be unavailable, including internet access. Only MIAD's primary web sites will remain available to the general public as these sites are hosted elsewhere.
Services unavailable during the outage:
- general internet access, wired and wireless
- email, both internal and external access
- desk phones
- database servers (Moodle, Jenzebar, MyAccount, Filemaker, PunchIt, etc.)
If you have any questions or concerns please let us know as soon as possible. We won't follow up with additional notices other than posting to here when all is well Friday night. This outage should last no longer than two hours.
