A number of faculty and staff members have received spam in the last few weeks that typically looks something like this:
Dear Customer,
This e-mail was send by miad.edu to notify you that we have temporanly prevented access to your account.
We have reasons to beleive that your account may have been accessed by someone else. Please run attached file and Follow instructions
(C) miad.edu
Unless it comes directly from the email account of someone from Technology Services please ignore the message and delete it. And whatever you do, do *NOT* download and/or open the attachments or follow any URLs included in the messages. It's likely the URLs will lead you to a phishing site.
